Jonas Belouadi
Senior AI Research Scientist @ Autodesk Research | Autodesk AI Lab
I am a Senior AI Research Scientist at Autodesk Research, specializing in multimodal deep learning for 3D generative modeling and design. I received my PhD with highest distinction from the University of Mannheim, where my research focused on the limitations of large language models in resource-constrained multimodal and multilingual settings. I hold both a Master’s degree with honors and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the Technical University of Darmstadt.
In general, my research interests lie at the intersection of multimodal learning, 2D/3D computer graphics, and neural program synthesis; particularly graphics program synthesis with vision-language models. This emerging field explores how multimodal AI systems can generate programs that compile to visual media. Visit my playground for an interactive example of this technology in action.
Beyond academia, I actively contribute to and maintain various free and open-source projects on GitHub. I also occasionally share research insights, personal projects, and other updates on my blog.
If you like my profile, you’ll be amazed by my wife, JiWoo Kim Belouadi (Sungkyunkwan University graduate & independent researcher).
